This latest release marks the end of a decade-long storyline, one that stretches all the way back to the game’s original version, which launched in 2010. The director and producer has spent the last eight years reshaping Final Fantasy XIV into a critically-acclaimed MMO behemoth. Like its predecessors, Endwalker promises new jobs, new areas to explore (we’re going to the moon!) and much, much more.Īnd as with 2013’s reimagining and subsequent expansions, Endwalker’s development is headed by Naoki Yoshida. Last week, Square Enix debuted the fourth expansion. All packed in enthralling stories, new regions, missions and impressive boss fights, continually building out the game’s fantastical setting Eorzea.

Each of these huge updates introduced a wealth of new content for Square Enix’s MMORPG, with each release comparable to a full standalone JRPG. That Ryzen 7 build, by the way, would be better obviously if you could afford it.Every two years since 2013’s A Realm Reborn, Final Fantasy XIV has received a new expansion. Just don't expect higher results out of your budget. If you cannot, do what you can of course.
Final fantasy xiv pc specs upgrade#
In the end though, if you can push your budget to get a better rig, especially if you will not upgrade for years, always do so. Those are the PSUs you want to be looking at. However.NEVER SKIP ON A DECENT PSU! Never! Please, for the love of god, never do this. However, if you are tight with $$$, it won't matter as much as the other components obviously. Get one and one high quality HDD for your "eh" games and be done with it. If you can push one into your build, or two, or even one large one, do so. 16GB would be a way safer bet.Īs for the RX 580 4gb for a GPU, it fits the recommended GPU requirements (as far as I'm aware, the GPU itself is about 10% faster than the 970 which can benchmark the High present at around 57-60 shooting to 80 fps using a i3 lol), but the odds are you will definitely upgrade your GPU in the future even if you do not upgrade your CPU/other components.Īs for your questions about SSDs.they're pretty important in my opinion. And multitasking + gaming can eat up a lot of ram (I know, I do it a lot) so 8gb may not cut it depedent on how much multitasking you do, how many tabs you open, if those tabs contain videos in it, if it is twitter/youtube etc etc.
At this price, you are honestly better to just buy the 1500X. However, for your first listed rig with the Ryzen 5 1400, it is a 4-core entry level CPU as previously stated. If you can push to $1300 that would give you a serious rig, especially for a MMO like this. If you want this rig to survive some years doing this sort of thing, I would seriously suggest saving a bit more than $900 if that is your hard limit at the moment. That Ryzen 7 is very beefy, and MMOs aren't all that complicated. You wanting to maintain solid 60 fps might be unreasonable with a budget like that or on a low/entry level AMD CPU.Ī higher tier CPU from AMD could probably achieve your goals no problem. Now with Ryzen the days are lessening where the gap between Intel and AMD is so huge it is laughable, but it is still there (though again, thankfully not by much). Okay, so multitasking could be where your problem lies with your budget, especially since you are going AMD. Very long winded, but I really want to make the right choice. So if I need to increase my price range it will just have to be something I need to do. I also have 3 other PC's but all over 1000-1300 USD. Would the PSU be strong enough for it? (Saw that people had issues with the game shutting their computer down and the PSU not being strong enough might be the reason.) Would an SSD be needed, or is it just a "nice to have"?
Would the CPU handle both game and other tasks at the same time without difficulty? Intel CPU's are also out of the question, they are just far to expensive right now.įor right now the computer's specs that I have my eye on are:
I'll also be using Mozilla Firefox for my WB if that would affect anything. Pretty much I would want to run the game at a solid to slightly fluctuating 60fps, with or without multi-tasking, or at the very least a locked 30. (Since I have no idea if each expansion does increase requirements or not.) And building my own is out of the question. I want something that can last me years without worry of needing to upgrade. Mostly by watching streams, so that may affect with what I need to get. At least for up till the end of ARR, maybe farther. I will say I will often be multi-tasking playing FF14. Before I get into the the Specs of the pc's.
